My name is Jim Thompson, founder of IQautos.com. I bought and sold my first car in 1990 while a college student. Upon graduation in 1994, I took a little money I had saved and bought an Around-the-World plane ticket. After my backpacking adventure, I returned to the US with a fresh perspective. Gaining an appreciation for the opportunities in my homeland, I wanted to develop a business.
In 1998 Jim Thompson Autos, Inc. was founded in metro Atlanta. The late 90’s saw the internet reshape how people researched and purchased automobiles, and technology has paved the way to expand monopolized local markets. A customer is no longer limited to the vehicles and prices found at their local Big dealer. Jim Thompson's IQautos sells the same cars for thousands less. We buy most of our cars from the manufacturer's leasing company which is responsible for reselling the leased vehicles. Then, we inspect, service and recondition them to very high standards. Product knowledge and true customer based service will always remain core values to us. We are honest and our vehicle descriptions are accurate.
